A contract has been signed with Hutton Construction to refurbish the building
and to add an additional floor. The building will be brought up to the latest
standards after 118 years service to the Muswell Hill community.
Work will commence in June 2018 and will be re-opened in July 2019.
In the meantime services are held in the temporary chapel accessed via
the Queens Avenue entrance.
This exciting project involves a complete refurbishment of the external fabric
including a new roof and the removal of the pebble dashing. The old tower
room will be demolished to make way for a new staircase to access the extra
floor that will be installed and used as a 150 seat venue. On the ground floor
the existing entrance will be blocked off and a 50 seat chapel will be created
with a large cafe area to encourage visitors to mix with each other. Our hope is
that this will become an important meeting point for residents of Muswell Hill.

This is a Blog following the 14 month redevelopment of the church building which finished in September 2019. A few months later in March 2020 the church had to close due to the pandemic and we are waiting to hear when we will be allowed to re-open.
